Higher Education and Training Deputy Minister, Dr Mimmy Gondwe, has inspired learners to consider the Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) colleges like a valuable and feasible substitute for advancing their careers.
The Deputy Minister was talking in the course of an oversight visit towards the post-school education and education (PSET) establishments within the Western Cape this 7 days.
Gondwe explained the TVET colleges as essential for job creation and youth skills development while in the state.
The Deputy Minister visited the West Coast College Vredenburg Campus, as well as the Cape Peninsula {University of Technologies (CPUT) Bellville Campus in Cape Town.

At the second part of the visit, college students at CPUT expressed issues about college student residences as well as other amenities. The Deputy Minister directed the establishment to work with the Student Representative Council (SRC), to speedily resolve the recognized concerns.

"NSFAS needs to get its act together, in order to ensure that student allowances are paid on time with no delays.
